!!!!!Rules!!!!!
1. No racism, sexism or nasty comments about a persons cultures/beliefs, etc.
2. Relates to 1., but no name calling, back stabbing or anything else along those lines. Generally, NO BULLYING.
3. No 2 person conversations. This is a whole group, and we would like everyone to be involved.
4. Our rule with cursing -- if you want to say a bad word, please do it like this: sh*t, cr*p, ect.
5. Have fun and make friends! We want this to be a fun place for people to make friends and share pictures. Come and invite your friends here! We would love to see a big, happy community.
6. Please no double posting unless it's by an Admin. Double posting takes up room, and it's just easier to edit your post.
7. Plagiarism is illegal. That means don't do it. Wikepedia says:
8. On the Karma thing: Don't ask someone to give you a karma. You have to earn a karma for doing something good.
9. NOTE!!!!~IF YOU DO NOT ADVERTISE US ON YOUR SITE, YOU CAN NOT ADVETISE YOUR SITE ON HERE!! Why? Because it's kinda un-fair if you advertise on here, but we can't advertise on your forum. And..... NO PMING MEMBERS YOUR SITE ADDRESS!!! AT ALL!!! This is our forum, and we don't want to lose members the first month. This is for forums, not Flickrs.
!!!!!Warnings, Removing, and being Banned (dun dun dun)!!!!!
So heres how it works:
1. If you break any of the rules, you will get a warning from one of the mods about your behaviour, telling you kindly to please stop with your behaviour. This will happen three times.
2. Now if you do not stop your behaviour after three warnings, you will be removed for 3 days.
3. If you continue your behaviour after being removed for 3 days, you will be removed for a week.
4. If you do not fix anything after this, you will be banned. I don't want to be mean, but these are pretty much how an admin works with the Flickr rules thingy, how to run a happy group.
5. You can come back after being banned with a different name, but please make sure you will stop your beaviour. If you don't, then you will be banned.
Trust me people, you don't want to see the meany in me come out.

Plagiarism, the activity, denoted by the verb, plagiarise, is claiming another's writing as ones own. Plagiarism as a thing, is the text so plagiarised. Generally, the duplication of non-written matter, as one';s own, or as original, is not an instance of plagiarism, but of forgery. But when a piece of writing is falsely presented and intentionally fabriated as someone else's, when it is not, it becomes an instance of forgery. For example, signing someone else's signature on someone else's check is not an instance of plagiarism (except perhaps trivially so), but an instance of forgery.
More particularly, the practise of claiming, or implying, original authorship, or incorporates material from someone else's writing, in whole or in part, into ones own, without adequate acknowledgment.
Within academia, plagiarism is seen as academic dishonesty and is a serious subject to academic censure.
Plagiarism may occur unintentionally as when an author fails to include quotations or give the appropriate citation.
These principles apply to written or printed text. Oral discourse or presentations do not seem to be the subjects of the rules of plagiarism.
Plagiarism is independent of copyright infringement. Where both terms are appropriate, they emphasize different aspects of the transgression. Copyright infringement is a violation of the the rights of the copyright holder, which involve the loss of income and artistic control of the material when used without his consent. On the other hand, plagiarism involves the loss of reputation of the second person, that of the plagiarist.
Under the copyright laws of the United States, copying a small portion of a text, placing in appropriate quotation, and citing the original source, for the purpose (for example) of review or criticism, is fair use.
